Congregation Beth Israel is currently seeking a part-time custodian that would like to have flexibility to set the majority of their schedule, maintain a beautiful building, assist in food serving and has the motivation to clean independently. Applications can be submitted below.

About Our Staff

Cantor Marilyn Selby Okoshi– Spiritual Leader at Congregation Beth Israel since 2023. Ordained as a hazzan by the Jewish Theological Seminary where she also earned Master’s degrees in Sacred Music and Jewish Educational Leadership. After practicing corporate and securities law for over 30 years, Cantor Selby Okoshi returned to her love of Jewish studies and pedagogy. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese & Japanese. Served in Conservative, Reconstructionist, and Reform congregations as service leader and teacher. She believes in welcoming all to participate and learn about our Jewish heritage and traditions.

Samantha Parmer – Office Manager– Tasked with the job of ensuring that our synagogue functions successfully and is involved in all aspects of in the Congregation’s longevity. “Sammi/Sam” resides in Lancaster. She enjoys playing softball, bowling and drawing in her free time.
